Conceptual Grunge -

 

Mickie is a part of the X Generation.

A time made up of New Wave Electronic and Grunge music. The influence of this style has stuck through with her even until today. Mickie creates her lines from raw emotion and  therapeutic creation.  She still continues to add to these series of works displayed here in her on-line portfolio.

 

"The body of work that I have been developing, I have called it Conceptual Grunge. It is my style that focuses on an emotional release. It was through art that has kept me company during my hardship of health. There is a consistent darkness to each piece.

 

My life’s mission is to create artwork that communicates for better understanding. My main objective is to capture a different view point.. That sometimes when life is difficult just take a moment and look from the outside in."
